KitchenAid has launched its first monochromatic stand mixer into the Australian market as a limited edition offering. The Artisan Black Tie Limited Edition Tilt Head Stand Mixer features cast iron-like textured finishes and premium materials, including die cast zinc, satin and black chrome. It also includes a 4.8 litre black stainless steel bowl, black coated beater and dough hook, which are dishwasher safe and boast the same robustness as standard models.
Only 500 Artisan Black Tie Stand Mixers will be sold with each individually numbered on the custom trim band. The number one will be auctioned on eBay and all funds raised will be donated to charity.
A commemorative card authenticated by KitchenAid senior design manager, small appliances, John McConnell, KitchenAid senior director of manufacturing, Ken Hossler, will accompany all limited-edition models.
“The Artisan Black Tie’s classic design and bold, all-black finish represents a modern and sophisticated take on the classic stand mixer. Like the little black dress, or classic tuxedo, the new mixer is a timeless collector’s item that will never go out of style,” McConnell said.
KitchenAid Australia marketing director, Richard Babekuhl said, “We are very excited to be launching the Limited Edition Black Tie here. We have received such a positive response from consumers since it was launched at Chicago Housewares earlier this year. The amount of inquiries we have received certainly exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to seeing it perform very well here.”
The stand mixer will be available through selected retailers for RRP $1,299.
