TCL Communication has launched the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition, available now at JB Hi-Fi for an RRP of $899. It features a matte black finish, 4.5-inch touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the device includes the world’s first keyboard-embedded fingerprint sensor located in the spacebar for added security.

The smart keyboard allows for up to 52 customisable shortcuts for quick access to apps and contacts. Touch navigation responds to touch gestures like a trackpad to scroll through webpages or emails. Flick typing offers predictive text, made even faster with the ability to flick words onto the screen.

Android 7.1 Nougat gives users access to the entire Google Play store and over one million apps, including BlackBerry Hub which brings messages into one consolidated place, such as emails, texts and messages from any social media account.

Featuring the largest battery ever found in a BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition offers all-day use with up to 26 hours of mixed use, thanks to the 3505mAh battery. Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology enables up to 50% charge in approximately 36 minutes.

The device comes pre-loaded with DTEK by BlackBerry, offering constant security monitoring and protection of the operating system and apps. The BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition will also receive regular monthly Android security updates.

It includes a 12MP rear camera with an industry leading camera sensor (Sony IMX378). The wide aperture lens with large 1.55μm pixels and dual-tone flash ensures superior colour and clarity. The device includes an 8MP front camera with fixed focus, LCD Flash, and 84-degree wide angle lens.
