2nds World managing director, Peter Hammerman has announced a restructure within his management team, which “will strengthen an already strong team and take us into the future with the right people in the right positions,” he told Appliance Retailer.

Former whitegoods, seasonal and smalls buyer, Dragi Kozarovski has been promoted to a newly created position of head of buying and chief operational officer. He will oversee the buying processes, as well as all operational matters including deliveries and the implementation of the retailer’s new computer system.

Alex Mackenzie (pictured above) has been welcomed as group category manager. He was formerly senior category manager for Winning Appliances. Tony Hamamdjian will remain in his buying role, taking on extra responsibilities.

2nds World general manager, Hilton Kensit has retired from his role but has taken up a new position to run the commercial division, Appliance Solution Direct. His replacement will be announced shortly. Former online and e-commerce manager, Jakob Naumann has been appointed as chief digital and information officer and will now be responsible for all online activities.

“I believe the changes in our industry although daunting, are positive, and as I heard a very wise man say ‘to succeed, change before you have to’,” Hammerman said.
