Three months after its successful sponsorship of the poshest picnic Diner en Blanc, Electrolux returned to Sydney’s Centennial Park to sponsor another high profile event, Taste of Sydney in partnership with Electrolux.

Over the weekend 23,700 foodies passed between a giant knife and fork, ready to sample more than 70 dishes from 20 of Sydney’s best restaurants without making a reservation. The focus of the festival is firmly on the chefs and neatly aligns with Electrolux’s position globally; the Swedish company states that nearly half of the European restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide choose Electrolux professional appliances for their kitchens.

Throughout the event visitors could learn the tricks of the trade — like how to triple blanch your octopus — at the Electrolux Taste Theatre, where chefs conducted live cooking demonstrations on Electrolux appliances. The Electrolux Masterpiece Collection furnished the benchtop and the Electrolux Inspiration Cooking Range filled the area with the aroma of delicious food being prepared.

“We’re thrilled to have been part of an event that supports and celebrates the professional chefs who are leading the future of Australian dining. We hope Sydney’s foodies learnt some great chef secrets from the Electrolux Taste Theatre and have left feeling inspired to experiment with new recipes and cooking methods which give them great tasting food,” said Electrolux senior brand and trade marketing manager, Sheila Walthoe.
