Hills appoints new head of sales and targets growth

Famous Australian brand and distributor Hills has appointed a new head of sales. David Lenz, formerly of Ingram Micro and Hewlett-Packard has taken the role, effective immediately.

“Lenz comes to Hills from Ingram Micro, where he spent the last seven years in a number of key roles, most recently heading the Specialty Division, focusing on Security and pro AV,” a Hills spokesperson told me. “He has a strong track record in sales throughout the Asia Pacific region over the past 20 years.

Hills COO Grant Logan sad that “David is an experienced sales operator and he will be a great asset to the team as we continue growing into FY16.

Lenz himself was thrilled to take on the role.

“This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and a trusted iconic brand and I look forward to driving results and continue building a great business as we move into FY16.”

Hills informs us that this is a new role create to boost its sales team and that the previous group manager for sales, Matt Old, has moved into a new role as director of sales strategy, operations and systems.
