German brand Blanco, distributed in Australia by Shriro, is currently celebrating the manufacture of its 50,000,000th sink — that’s 50 million for those lost in the naughts!

The sink to bring up this fine record was a new Singranit PuraDur II, which is the latest material in Blanco’s continued sink-ovation (or sink innovation). Here’s Blanco Germany CEO Achim Schreiber:

“We focus consistently on the food preparation area with the sink, mixer tap and custom accessories,” he said. “And our aim is to offer the highest quality, best service and professional design in every segment. The impressive figure of 50 million sinks confirms that our strategy is the correct one, and at the same time spurs us on to even greater success.”

Lisa Hill, advertising and promotions executive at Shriro Australia, said Silgranit is an “unbeatably resilient, hard-wearing and easy to clean” material with a “pleasant feel and a modern aesthetic”.
