Audio products importer, distributor and marketer Convoy International will end the year strongly, with the launch of new brand Bluesound and the first complete range update of the Bowers & Wilkins CM Series in eight years.

The once distributors of Beats (which handed over the distribution to Ingram Micro in 2012), are a powerful force in the Australian audio market; home to global brands including Sol Republic, Bowers & Wilkins, Harman/Kardon, Monster, Happy Plugs, Classé, JBL and Aerial7.

Having established a partnership with the Canadian brand, overseeing the slow retail roll out of Bluesound multi-room products in the Australian market will take the company to the end of the calendar year.

“We’re extremely proud to announce our partnership with Bluesound,” said Geoff Matthews, CEO of Convoy.

“Both companies share a vision for bringing products that offer the highest sound quality and ease of use to consumers here in Australia. We understand what’s required to maximise the listening experience in the digital age and we are excited about launching the Bluesound family of products into select stores for people to hear and see first-hand.”

Another significant announcement from Convoy is the launch of the new Bowers & Wilkins CM Series, the first full product update in eight years, adding new technology and refining the design.

The range update was spurred on by the introduction of the Decoupled Double Dome tweeter in 2013 to the CM10 which the brand said led to awards and a massive improvement in audio performance.

Bowers & Wilkins have now added the decouple double tweeter to the rest of the CM Series.

“For the first time the entire CM Series features these outstanding new tweeters, while the CM10 S2 and the completely new CM6 S2 boast tweeter-on-top technology for an even more engaging performance,” the brand said.

Aesthetically, the range retains the high-quality wooden cabinets, but a number of visible fixings have been removed for a cleaner look, which also have acoustic benefits.

The all new CM Series speakers are available in selected specialist Bowers & Wilkins dealers nationally.
