Seeley International has appointed Shane Chisholm its inaugural general manager of Australian sales. Chisholm, who starts today (Tuesday 1 July 2014), will be based in Adelaide.

“Shane joins Seeley International with a skillset that spans all key areas of senior management, and having recently completed the Senior Executive MBA program at the University of Melbourne means his operational experience is strengthened with the most up-to-date academic knowledge,” said company founder and executive chairman Frank Seeley

“To be a market leader you need to do a number of things well: you need to employ the very best people, have an unwavering commitment to developing innovative products, and use cost-effective automation without compromising on quality.

“You also have to offer a professional sales network of highly-trained individuals that are passionate about customer service and after-market support, and I am confident that Shane’s strategic leadership will support our dealer network and take us from strength to strength.”

Chisholm joins Seeley International from agribusiness Elders, where he has worked for the past 13 years, in roles including state general manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory, zone general manager for southern Australia and national general manager for procurement and suppl chain. He said he is excited for the new challenge.

“I am looking forward to meeting with people across the Australian dealer network and playing a role in educating customers about the unrivaled technology and energy efficiency benefits offered by Seeley International’s heating and cooling products when they make a purchase decision,” Chisholm said.

“I am also keen to build on the success of the Climate Masters of Seeley International dealership program, which has created a team of accredited and highly-trained professionals that draw on extensive product expertise to make sure customers get exactly what they need each and every time.”

Meanwhile, Seeley International has confirmed the departure of Tony Pack, who most recently was its national retail sales manager. Sources say there are no plans to fill this vacancy at this stage.
