Latte Art is a smackdown, drag em out battle

As reported on these pages last week, Breville is the major sponsor of the Aroma Festival, taking place on Sunday 27 July 2014 at The Rocks in downtown Sydney.

One of the major events of this festival is the Latte Art Smackdown, in which wannabe coffee Caravaggios must spin a wheel and then, in only five minutes, replicate whichever design comes up. UnderCurrent has managed to get its claws on this wheel, so anyone with aspirations to be a milk-based Michelangelo should start studying:

Autumn leaves, ferns and hearts are the staples of latte art. UnderCurrent would have loved to see some really high concept designs, like those shown off earlier this year by foam fantasist Michael Breach:
