After it’s first iteration in Melbourne, The Good Food and Wine show rolls into Sydney this week, with major appliance brands set to raise consumer awareness with hands-on master classes, cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs and new product displays.

Kicking off on Friday at Sydney Olympic Park, ILVE, Nespresso, Jura, De’longhi, Kenwood and Kuvings (distributed by ProAppliances) all have stands at the event. This year the Sydney show has moved to Homebush from Darling Harbour while the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is being redeveloped.

Cooking up a storm with ILVE.

On the major appliances front, ILVE is sponsoring the Good Food Theatre where TV chefs and restaurateurs will put together a menu for a three-course meal in front of an audience. Bill Granger, George Calombaris, Matt Stone, Sammy Bella, Darren Robertson, Miguel Maestre, Martin Boetz and Alastair McLeod will be cooking up a storm with ILVE appliances for Sydneysiders.

Throughout the three days, Everyday Gourmet host Justine Schofield will be hosting free 30 minute cooking classes using Nespresso capsule coffee in a range of sweet and savoury dishes. On the menu is:
Fruit and Nut Coffee Muesli with Nespresso Fortissio Lungo,
Caramelised Balsamic and Coffee Onions with Whipped Goats Cheese Tartlets with Nespresso Dharkan Espresso,
Cardamon Affogato with Hazelnut Brittle with Nespresso Decaffeinato Intenso.

The promise of learning “the secrets behind Adriano Zumbo’s famed Zumbarons” in a two hour, hands-on master class proved extremely popular, with tickets to the sessions selling out well before the show. The Kenwood brand ambassador will be demonstrating how the brand’s appliances can help consumers live up to the brand’s slogan and “create more”.

Jura will be partnering with Harvey Norman in Sydney to sell the machines. The gift card offer also extends to purchases made with some retailers.
