UnderCurrent was amused to read this morning in The Australian that when union slush money goes missing, it ends up in the hands of electrical retailers:

According to Commonwealth Bank records, [union whistleblower Kathy] Jackson used large sums of union money transferred to a $284,500 slush fund that she operated alone over many years to buy goods for herself from David Jones, Safeway, JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings, Gazman, Maple Homewares and Ray’s Outdoors.
