Danny Hamilton, CEO of Compass Capital Partners, owner of the Kleenmaid brand, has confirmed to Appliance Retailer that approaches have been made to sales agencies and retailers to stock the Kleenmaid brand.
Since purchasing the controversial brand from receivers, Compass Capital Partners has primarily sold Kleenmaid through the cabinetry channel. Hamilton said that Compass wants to expand its distribution and has approached potential sales agents.
Appliance Retailer has spoken to these agents and they have confirmed that introductory conversations have taken place.
Hamilton told Appliance Retailer that Kleenmaid is looking for retail partners in areas where Compass has no coverage in the cabinetry channel.
Hamilton said Compass is only interested in smaller, independent retailers and sales agents and has not approached any large groups.
Appliance Retailer specifically asked if specific large retailers, such as Narta members and Harvey Norman, had been approached, and Hamilton replied “No”.
