The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced a new board for the Asia Pacific region. According to the release announcing the new boardmembers, their job is to guide CEDIA "through this vital period of global alignment and ensure a cohesive strategic direction across…Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South East Asia". No further information was provided as to what actually means.

Len Wallis of the eponymous audio chain has retained his seat as chair of the board. He will be joined by the following individuals (responsibility in brackets): Doug Issac (Secretary), Ken Dwyer (Treasurer), Harry Simidis (Outreach), Alexis Cladwell (Expo & Events), Craig Samson (Membership) and Eris McCarthy (Education).

Departing from the Board at this time are Steven Hill, Nathan Gill and David Rybicki.

The 2013 CEDIA Expo is being held on the Gold Coast from 10-12 July 2013.
