Former Bush Australia managing director Daniel Todd has revealed he resigned from the electronics supplier in order to stay in Australia, rather than move to an overseas post.

Bush Australia currently distributes the Grundig, Blaupunkt, iLuv and Bush brands.

In a letter sent to business partners, Todd said he was very proud of the legacy he would leave for his successor, Brian Rodgers, and noted the support Bush Australia had received from its customers.

"I have been with Bush Australia for almost seven years and the parent group for a total of 17 years," Todd wrote. "I'm very proud of the work I have done and the legacy I have left the business. My next step…would have meant another move overseas and I have therefore decided to pursue new opportunities.

"I leave Bush Australia as a well-managed business in the capable hands of my colleague and friend, Brian Rodgers. We have a host of supportive customers, a broad range of products and brands, and most importantly, a talented [and] committed work force covering three continents.

"I have no doubt the excellent support of the manufacturing parent company, HK Geeya Technology, will ensure the company can provide the best products at the most competitive prices."
