Following news of a restructure in its Australian business to bring a more specialised focus to its separate whitegoods and cooking portfolios, Whirlpool Australia is set to launch a new refrigerator range into Australian retail stores next month.

The Whirlpool Mini Butler range follows on from the Whirlpool Butler range, which was launched in August 2012 in a bid to offer consumers a refrigerator that was “designed for Australians” with features geared towards home entertaining.

The Mini Butler series features many of the same features, but with smaller capacities and footprints targeted towards compact living environments and the DINKS market (Double Income, No Kids).

Full details of the line-up are yet to be confirmed, but the range will include features including the Waiter Go portable drinks and condiments caddy seen on the Butler range, as well as the antibacterial Thaw Zone shelf and the Ice Mate removable ice storage compartment.

Further details are expected when the range launches into retailers in February.

The 290-litre Mini Butler Refrigerator in Metalium (WRIBT29MB, RRP $879) will feature Ice Mate ice storage, Waiter Go drinks caddy and antibacterial Thaw Zone shelf.
