Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the team at Current.com.au! Today is our last day of regular service before taking a break for the holiday season. We will be back with full coverage of the 2013 International CES from Las Vegas on Monday 7 January 2013.
Thanks very much to all our readers and sponsors for a wonderful year. During 2012, we've broken the big stories regarding Retravision, WOW Sight & Sound and United Warranties; kept you up to date with exclusive previews of new products from Dyson, Breville, Sunbeam and Nespresso; and made you laugh (hopefully) with the lighter side of the industry with UnderCurrent.
In total, Current.com.au sent 248 newsletters in 2012, each packed with orginal and independent (and free) content for our valued readers. Between all of us that contribute (mostly me, Claire Reilly and James Wells), we posted 1,240 stories in 2012. The most popular story was Fisher & Paykel recalls selected DishDrawer dishwashers (which was also the most commented, with 43 published, and many more rejected by the moderator).
We strive everyday to deliver interesting and relevant news for the retail consumer electronics and appliance industry. Our readers are never afraid to tell us when we've done wrong, so I'm happy to have only received a handful of abusive emails and only one death threat this year. These have been far outweighed by the positive reinforcement of our readers.
