Electrolux Small Appliances Australia has appointed a new national marketing manager and a new national sales manager. Both new appointees will report to managing director John Mahar.

Clayton Roberts is the new lead in marketing. Roberts was formerly the marketing manager at Stanley Black and Decker.

The new national sales manager is Andrew van Oosterwijck. Before joining Electrolux Small Appliances Australia, van Oosterwijck was a business development manager at Crayola.

“Both Clayton and Andrew have strong backgrounds and come to us with a wealth of relevant experience and a strong track record of results,” said Mahar in a statement.

“We have a very busy year planned for 2013 and a number of exciting new products to be launched to the local market and these appointments are key to ensuring the year is a huge success.

“The entire team is looking forward to significant market growth next year and we are delighted to have Clayton and Andrew now on board.”

Electrolux Small Appliances Australia has been expanding rapidly during the second half of 2012.

In August 2012, when Electrolux’s global CEO of small appliances, Henrik Bergstrom, visited Australia, he and the local team unveiled a new range of irons, coffee machines, hand mixers and water filters to the market.

Electrolux is tipped to expand this small appliances range significantly in 2013, with the company already marketing manual coffee machines, breadmakers and food processors.
