The classic story of love, revenge and redemption, set against the backdrop of the 1832 Paris student uprising has been filmed by Academy Award winning director Tom Hooper (The King's Speech) and has a distinctive Australian flavour amongst its cast, with Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean) and Russell Crowe (Inspector Javert) joining Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen in leading roles.

Sharp will be using the Australian premiere of the film, which is just shy of three hours, to showcase its new 90-inch LED LCD TV, the biggest in the world. This premiere is on Friday 21 December 2012 as being co-hosted by Hugh Jackman and Tom Hooper.

Check out the trailer for this predicted masterpiece below. The film opens nationwide on Boxing Day (26 December 2012).
