Sharp is offering its customers an extra incentive to purchase a model from its microwave line-up this Christmas, with two dedicated promotions – a gift with purchase of selected standard and inverter microwaves, and the opportunity to attend a post-purchase cooking class for steam and convection microwave models.
Consumers who purchase a selected model from Sharp’s standard microwave line-up will be eligible to receive a Pyrex glass storage set, with either a 10-piece set (RRP $66.75) or a 14-piece set (RRP $84.65) up for grabs depending on the model purchased.
And for customers that want to learn the finer details of cooking with their steam or convection microwave oven, Sharp is offering a dedicated cooking class for them and a friend in conjunction with the Sydney Seafood School.
Sharp’s national marketing manager Mark Beard explained.
“We believe that the owners of our steam product will be some of our best advocates, because once they buy the product and use it, we think they’re going to love it," said Beard. "So when you buy one of our convection microwave ovens or steam microwave ovens, you and a friend can come along to the Seafood School for an exclusive cooking school on the Sharp range of microwave ovens.
“We think it’s another way of reinforcing for people who have purchased that they can get more out of the product than they actually think. And maybe the friend that comes along may also be tempted to buy the product.”
The promotion is available on selected models purchased between 1 November 2012 and 31 January 2013, and is being rolled out in the Sydney area initially (so it is only available for consumers who live in the NSW metro and surrounding areas, subject to class availability).
