On Sunday night, Australians in their masses tuned in to watch a biopic about Julian Assange (with the appropriately shifty title “Underground: The Julian Assange Story). If you missed it, it was all about the young Julian Assange getting his start on the computers and on the hacking.

Riveting stuff.

To set the scene, the producers from Matchbox Films included footage from an early Commodore 64 advertisement. Suffice it to say UnderCurrent’s interest was piqued.

Add this to the retro 80s ad hall of fame, because it has all the hallmarks of success: waterslides, a computer floating above Earth, a catchy jingle and the promise of computing fun for the whole family!
