Canon is looking to boost retail sales over Christmas with the launch of a new consumer promotion celebrating its 75th birthday. The 75 Trips in 75 Days competition is open to customers who purchase more than $90 of Canon product in one transaction, and has a total prize pool of more than $200,000.

Talking up the promo was Canon Australia’s director of consumer imaging, Jason McLean.

“Canon’s 75 years of imaging leadership has many proud moments, but in 2012 we have seen a range like no other launched with ground-breaking products across our camera, printer, video camera and lens ranges,” said McLean.

“With huge product innovation sparking strong demand, we’ve also worked hard at Canon Australia to ensure that consumers can find outstanding value in key categories at their local retail stores.

“There’s never been a better time to buy a Canon and ‘75 trips in 75 days’ is the icing on the cake, adding the excitement of a chance to win an unforgettable travel experience.”

Shoppers from Australia and New Zealand must spend over $90 in one transaction at an authorised Canon reseller (or at the Canon store), making sure to keep their receipt, and register their details on the competition website.
