When reporting on the IFA trade show in Berlin last week, Das UnderCurrent was very impressed with the number of suppliers that provided information to attendees in both German and English. Press conferences held in German were supplemented by English translations (through headphones), and there was plenty of assistance for international travellers from all over the world.

Indeed, when one is reporting on appliances in a foreign country and the locals have deigned to provide translations in UnderCurrent’s native tongue, one should avoid pointing out any small errors in grammar.

But this little gem was too good to pass up. Bosch had an “experience station” set up for people to try slamming the glass on its fridge fascias to test for toughness.

Let’s get a close up on that.

Who knew that quality control could be so extreme?
