Canon has announced a new addition to its management team dedicated to the retail channel, appointing Andrew Ward as national business manager – retail, for the consumer imaging business.

In the role, Ward will be working with national business manager (retail), Eric Guilly, and national business manager (distribution), Luke McDonald, while also reporting to Canon Consumer Imaging’s assistant general manager for sales, Troy Cabot.

Previously employed with Canon, Ward will rejoin the company on 3 September after a “four year hiatus” spent at rival companies Sony and Nikon Australia.

“I am thrilled to welcome Andrew back to the Canon family and I look forward to the contributions that he will make to our business through his leadership and ability to create strong customer partnerships for mutual success,” said Troy Cabot.

“As a market leader, Canon strives to be an employer of choice and Andrew’s choice to return to Canon reminds us that we are achieving great things both as a business and as a place to work.

“With the pace of innovation and the passion for photography in Australia, it’s never been a more exciting time to be in the imaging industry,” added Cabot. “We’re pleased to be attracting the best and brightest people in the industry to work with for a satisfying career and a lot fun along the way.”
