Kmart Australia has issued a recall of the Homemaker 17 Piece Mini Blender. The appliance was sold in Kmart stores nationally between 1 March 2010 and 22 September 2011.
The Mini Blender can be identified by the model number HY-6068A-1, keycode 41024683 and APN (Australian Product Number) 9300805187991.
According to the Kmart product recall notice posted on the ACCC website, “In some circumstances the gasket (rubber seal) may become caught in the blender blades during use,” and the “gasket may be damaged during use and become mixed with food, posing an ingestion and/or choking hazard.”
Consumers are advised to cease using the product immediately, and return it to any Kmart store for a full refund.
