SYDNEY, NSW: Logitech Australia has contacted Current.com.au this afternoon to provide answers to most of our questions raised after its 100 per cent cashback promotion closed yesterday – the same day it started.

A short time again, we received the following statement from Logitech’s local PR representative:

“Logitech has asked me to confirm the following details, regarding the cash-back promotion: In the 13.5 hours that the promotion was live, a total of 3,314 submissions were lodged and 8,369 product claims were made.

“The average customer claimed 2.5 products each. There was an absolutely overwhelming response, resulting in the promotion expiring at approximately 1.30pm on 1 February 2011.

“As per the terms and conditions, the promotional period was limited to 1 February 2011 to 28 February 2011 OR [their caps] until AU$300,000 in online cashback funds are exhausted, whichever came first.

“In this case, the funds were exhausted first and the promotional micro-site will not accept any further claims. As per all major promotions of this nature, details including permit numbers are available at www.logitechcashback.com.au.

“If members of the public have any queries regarding the promotion they can call 1800 850 522, email info@logitechcashback.com.au and/or participate in an online discussion that Logitech has set up on Facebook.”
