SYDNEY, NSW: The ACCC has today granted permission for Telstra Shops to collectively bargain with suppliers. This decision includes mobiles handset manufacturers and providers of small business services as applicable to this bargaining.

"As the arrangements involve a small proportion of participants in the relevant markets, the ACCC considers there is little or no risk of the arrangements resulting in anti-competitive detriment,” said ACCC chairman Graeme Samuel.

Participation in the collective bargaining is voluntary, with individual Telstra Stores able to continue independent dealings.
