SYDNEY, NSW: At RRP $249, this is the most affordable portable internet connected radio in the Pure range (there are five in total).

“One Flow achieves a new price in premium digital and internet radio, but it does so without compromise. So you get all the benefits of broadcast digital radio, plus new online content. One Flow really will deliver internet connected digital radio for everyone,” said Graeme Redman, managing director of Pure Australasia.

The device uses a Wi-Fi connection to access thousands of internet radio stations from Jamaica to Egypt and Kenya. When fitted with an optional rechargeable ChargePAK E1 (RRP $99) the One Flow can provide up to 40 hours of play. Other features include FM radio, unlimited internet favourites, 30 digital and FM presets, a sleep timer, a 3.5- millimetre input and a large LCD display.

Digital radio is currently available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin. While the size and low population density of Australia means a national roll out could take some time, a meeting held between commercial broadcasters in December 2010 indicates they are eager to expand digital services to regional Australia as early as 2011 or 2012.
