QUEENSTOWN, NZ: Panasonic launched its new flagship Travel Zoom camera in Queenstown, New Zealand earlier this week. The TZ20 is the hero product (RRP $599), with the TZ18 playing the supporting role (RRP $499).

Current.com.au had a chance to test drive this new unit, with Panasonic’s celebrated zoom capacities under the microscope. The TZ20 has 16x optical zoom, with enhancements up to 21x. Take a look at what this means for consumers.

This is a shot of that boat at 21x, taken moments after the first shot from exactly the same position.
