SYDNEY, NSW: BenQ has today released two new video camera products, with one of them being touted as a “world’s first”. The new models are the S11, which is a multimedia camera featuring a built-in PICO projector, and the S21, which is a more traditional camcorder.

The S11, which is the shape and size of a candybar smartphone, is being promoted as the world’s first Full HD video camera to include a built-in projector. It has a 10x digital zoom, 5-megapixel image sensor and a 3.5-inch touchscreen. The LED projector can throw images and videos up to 50 inches (127 centimetres) in size. This unit is RRP $299.

Also new to the BenQ range is the S21 camcorder. This model features Full HD video capture, night vision capture and motion sensors to start filming when the action starts. Adding to this video camera’s appeal is its dual SD card slots, meaning that up to 128GB of data can be stored through the use of two 64GB cards simultaneously. This model also includes dual power operation: a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and AA batteries. This model is RRP $249.
