SYDNEY, NSW: The Mini Compact Mobile UHF-CB series, from RRP $279, will accommodate all 77 channels to be rolled out in Australia in April or May. The network restructuring aims to reduce congestion and allow faster communication.

Uniden senior national marketing executive, Brad Hales, said it is important for retailers to understand the network changes to better inform consumers and suggests the Uniden website as a resource for retailers.

“The launch of the new 77 Channel UHF-CB network is an exciting development for radio users. Customers will have many questions, so it’s important that retailers understand the benefits of the new narrowband network.”

The Mini Compact features a seven colour backlit LCD and keypad to match a vehicle’s dashboard light colour, as well as a flip LCD feature for optional reverse mounting. The radios can be mounted in a variety of places including the console, dashboard, cabin roof and under the seat.

The new radio joins Uniden’s range of marine radios, scanning receivers and handheld radios.
