SYDNEY, NSW: The Emilia DW61SS, RRP $799, has been stripped of rarely used features and has been designed to meet essential consumer demands: getting the dishes clean whilst excelling in water and energy ratings.

David Gilmore, Glem Gas Australasia general manager told Current.com.au that the new dishwasher is competitively priced as it is a global model and it comes down to a matter of volume. Glem Gas is pushing the benefits of the current exchange rate. Also, the dishwasher’s design recognises that the majority of consumers stick to a few core functions. The new dishwasher doesn’t feature the functions that most people rarely use.

“We have already noted strong initial sales and with summer a busy home entertaining period, more people will look to update appliances that are no longer performing at their best,” Gilmore said.

“Our new dishwasher provides a very competitively priced, high quality product that will suit the majority of households.”

The 60-centimetre free-standing appliance has 12 place settings, 3 wash programmes and 4 wash temperatures all matched with an AAA environmental rating (15.7 litres of water per wash).  The stainless steel dishwasher also comes with an adjustable upper rack, a streamlined interior for easy cleaning and comes with a 2-year warranty. It includes an anti-flood stop valve to cut water if there is a split or rupture of the water supply hose.
