SYDNEY, NSW: The new site works to explain the Imation set up, including what each brand specialises in as well as listing Imation products. A handy support centre directs consumers for help with products, drivers, downloads and includes a resource library.

Recently Imation has been focussing on highly secure portable data storage products, such as the Defender Collection that features James Bond-like security systems.

Imation business manager for ANZ, Des McDaid, said the website has taken some time to perfect, which makes sense considering the breadth products it represents.

“It’s taken time to perfect but Imation Australia and New Zealand now have their own website featuring Imation, TDK Life on Record, Memorex and XtremeMac products and services,” said McDaid.

“I’m pleased that we can offer a more customised and personal interface to our customers and users in this marketplace and it will certainly serve to make our brands and people more accessible.  The site is extremely user-friendly and really showcases our brands and products in a reputable and impressive manner.”

About 70 per cent of the business is retail oriented, according to Imation CEO Mark Lucas. As of 1 February 2011, Avico will be the new distributor for the retail channel.
