SYDNEY, NSW: Grundig and Toshiba have released new products into the retail space today, with the former introducing its new Trio DAB+ microsystems and the latter unveiling a new Camileo Full HD camcorder.

There are two models in the Grundig Trio range: the premium Touch model (RRP $599) and the standard Trio unit (RRP $349). What’s stands these units out is the ability to configure these units into three separate formations (one, two and three pieces).

The Touch features DAB+ radio, internet radio (through Wi-Fi or LAN), online music through Last.fm, full iPod and iPhone functionality, music streaming from PCs or Macs, 2×10-watt speaker output and a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen.

The non-Touch model has DAB+, iPod and iPhone docking and video out, 3.5-millimetre headphone input and a digital alarm clock. Both models come with a remote control.

Over at Toshiba, the new Camileo S30 (RRP $299) is a pistol grip camcorder that captures video in Full HD 1080p and images at 8 megapixels. It features smart image stabilisation, a 16x digital zoom, a swivelling 3-inch touchscreen LCD and SD and SDXC card compatibility.

Discussing the functional benefits of the S30 is Toshiba Information Systems Division GM Robert Wilkinson.

“Users can…view their video and still photos directly on their computer or TV using the included HDMI cable. And they can easily share their videos and photos on YouTube using the Internet Upload Button,” he said.
