SYDNEY, NSW: Standards Australia has been unveiled as the new principal sponsor of the Australian International Design Awards. These awards are especially popular amongst the consumer electronics and appliance suppliers, with Dyson, De’Longhi, Neff, Kenwood and Electrolux all involved in 2010.

“The Australian International Design Awards has a rich history and Standards Australia is pleased to be supporting this important tradition,” said Standards Australia chief executive Colin Blair.

“The standard of entry keeps improving each year and the Australian International Design Awards act as an important benchmark for the latest products and services entering the Australian market. The Awards program provides opportunity for budding graduates, industrial designers and engineers to display their creative prowess and ingenuity.”

Entries for the 2011 awards open on Friday 4 February 2011 and close on Thursday 31 March 2011. The awards will be presented on Friday 22 July 2011.
