The 12 Gadgets of Christmas – Dyson DC35

By Patrick Avenell

SYDNEY, NSW: For our last Gadget of Christmas 2010, we take a decidedly English approach to poetic reviews. Having used the Japanese Haiku for Sharp and the Korean Sijo for Samsung, we tackle the most English of brands, Dyson, with the most English of forms: the Shakespearean Sonnet. Merry Christmas everyone!

Dyson DC35 – A Sonnet Review

Shall I compare thee to a submarine?
Your motor is powerful and cordless,
Your telescopic wand is lean,
And can reach crevices sans duress.
Multifloor operation makes you a conduit,
Part handheld, part stick vac,
Hard, soft and carpet do you suit,
The light weight doesn’t strain my back.
In England this rare cyclone conceived,
Copied now by brands far and wide,
But, alas, consumers do not be deceived,
For ensure the Dyson brand is espied.
And make sure you pay the full RRP,
So we can all make some money this Christmas Eve.
