SYDNEY, NSW: Dyson Australia recently won two awards at the 2010 Facility Management Association of Australia (FMA) Awards for Excellence. Both awards were for Dyson’s Airblade hand drying appliance.

According to its website, the FMA “serves to further the objectives of facility managers and the facilities management industry, through the provision of member benefits and services, professional development and advocacy”. These annual awards are held to recognise those in the industry that contributed positively to that goal.

The two awards won by Dyson were the Industry Innovation Excellence Award and the Product Excellence Award. Both awards recognise Dyson’s achievement in introducing a hand drying tool that actually does dry a person’s hands.

The awards were hosted by Paul McDermott and featured entertainment from streetwise hip-hop dance troupe Justice Crew. These talented youngsters certainly are popular on the CE and appliance circuit right now, having also performed at Sony’s Wharf4Ward lunch and the BlackBerry Torch launch.
