SYDNEY, NSW: Not quite an orange or a bag of chocolate gold coins, the new Halo headphones will, however, fit in the Christmas stocking and make for a colourful gift for the outdoor music listening enthusiast.

The headphones in a headband concept, tagged as ‘Wear the Music’, come in different colours and materials suited to specific activities. For example, red moisture absorbing fabric is for sport, yellow quick to dry cotton is for kids and the navy headband that doubles up as an eye mask is for travel.

The function meets fashion headphones will be available from the end of November for RRP $59, with additional headbands at RRP $14.

In keeping with the fashion industry it follows and relies on, the headphone category is capricious, according to one of the leading suppliers. Speaking about TDK Life on Record’s headphone range last week, Imation CEO Mark Lucas told Current.com.au that products had a six month lifecycle and were highly dependent on trends.

The Halo headphones have been designed and developed by Kirsten Black, who was shortlisted in the Australian International Design Awards.

Halo Headphones are made by Australian company, New Style and Advanced Technology.
