SYDNEY, NSW: Pioneer has added iPod accessories to its range of goods by announcing that it will distribute and market Simplism, a Japanese accessory brand for Apple products.

The partnership brings Pioneer’s brand portfolio to 3, after it acquired the distribution rights to Pure 18 months ago.

So far, a range of 25 Simplism products ranging from accessories for the iPad, iPhone 4, and Nano 6 will be available through JB Hi-Fi from 22 November 2010. Simplism will be available exclusively through JB Hi-Fi “until further notice”, a Pioneer spokesperson told Current.com.au.

According to Pioneer, Simplism has carved itself a top position in an otherwise “saturated” accessory market in Japan, attributing the success to unique designs and features, which it hopes will help secure Simplism brand recognition (and sales) in Australia as well.

“Pioneer is excited to be distributing the Simplism accessory range in Australia. Accessories for Apple products are an exciting category for retailers and we are confident that we can achieve cut-through in the market by offering consumers an alternative solution with unique styling and features,” said Chris Kotis, general manager of sales and marketing at Pioneer Electronics Australia.

“The partnership with both PURE and now Simplism supports Pioneer’s vision to look outside its existing product offering, partnering with other brands to bring exciting new technology to the Australian market.”

The Simplism range includes leather, silicon, micro-fibre and poly-carbon cases, starting at RRP $19 for Nano silicon cases, ranging up to RRP $79 for leather iPad cases.
