SYDNEY, NSW: New South Wales Police have issued a warning to retailers about an organised crime operation targeting shops in the Sydney’s northern and inner western suburbs. So far, 12 stores have been targeted by the syndication, which uses fraudulent credit cards to purchase gift vouchers.

According to the Police, stores in Roseville, Cremorne, North Sydney, Mosman, Milsons Point, Strawberry Hills and Rozelle have been visited by the suspected fraudsters, with Police issuing a general warning and an appeal for assistance by the public.

There are four men the Police are looking for, all described as being of Asian appearance.

The first is aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of medium build, is 165-175 centimetres tall, with olive skin and short, spiky black hair. This man is described as wearing a beaded bracelet.

The second man is in his 30s, of slim build at between 155-165 centimetres, with olive skin and short black hair.

The third man is in 30s, has a slim build, and has olive skin.

The fourth man is in his 20, has a slim build, olive skin and short black hair.

Police request that any suspected sightings of these men, or any attempt to use multiple gift vouchers, be reported to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
