SYDNEY, NSW: On the same day Samsung announced growth across its home appliance division, the Korean giant has also checked all the whitegoods boxes by releasing a range of new dishwashers.

Samsung has attributed its growing market share, particularly in the refrigeration category, to an increase in retailer recommendation rates to consumers.

“Compared to three years ago, Samsung has more than doubled in overall recommendations at a retail level. According to a global Samsung study, which polled 197 Australian retailers in May 2010, when having to recommend only one refrigerator to consumers, Samsung is the clear choice with nearly 40 per cent reporting that they recommend Samsung more than any other product,” said Samsung in a statement.

The new dishwashers include two standalone models and a built-in model available in stainless steel, silver or white designs. According to Samsung, they boast innovative technology that helps reduce noise levels via six levels of insulation.

“As Samsung’s Whitegoods offering continues to go from strength to strength in Australia, consumers are looking for us to broaden our suite of home appliances, so we are delighted to now be able to introduce a range of dishwashers,” said Mike Lilly, group senior product manager for whitegoods, Samsung Electronics Australia.

The Samsung DMS400THX RRP $999, DMS500TRS RRP $799, and DMS500TRW RRP $699 will be available from October.
