MELBOURNE, VIC: The Australian office of TCL Electronics, one of the biggest manufacturers of televisions in the world, is getting back in the saddle tomorrow as it celebrates the most important week of the year.

TCL’s partnership with Flemington for the Melbourne Cup Carnival is the biggest branding exercise the Melbourne company partakes in, with four race meets across eight days, including the Race that Stops a Nation, representing an enormous opportunity for exposure.

Now a long term sponsor of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, TCL has branding throughout Flemington across the four race days (Derby Day, Cup Day, Oaks Day and Emirates Stakes Day), as well furnish the track with hundreds of TVs for punters to watch the action on.

Thursday next week (4 November 2010) is particularly special for local MD Paul Widdis, as he gets to jump on stage to present a trophy to the winning connections in TCL’s branded race.

With the whole of Australia tuning in to this celebration, TCL has the opportunity to compete with some of the more well-known brands in the marketplace. And with this year’s Melbourne Cup attracting even more attention than usual, due to it being the 150th instalment, this really is TCL’s best chance of communicating with its consumers.

This all starts tomorrow (Saturday 30 October) with Derby Day, the only all-Group race meet held in Australia. Look out for the TCL signs whilst cheering home your horses.
