SYDNEY, NSW: George Clooney fans rejoice! The Oscar winning actor, soon to be elevated to icon level, will soon be putting his famous name and friendly face to two new Nespresso machines: the Citiz in Silver Chrome (RRP $399) and the Citiz with Milk in Silver Chrome (RRP $549).
These two new additions to the phenomenally successfully Nespresso coffee machine range were launched this morning, along with a new cashback campaign to promote the entire range during the Christmas season. Nespresso’s longstanding marketing agreement with George Clooney is so successful that consumers actually ask for the George Clooney machine in-store.
“As a result of the ongoing innovation and pioneering spirit at Nespresso, the addition of the new silver chrome finish to the existing Nespresso CitiZ range is the perfect gift for design-loving coffee aficionados this Christmas,” said Nespresso Australia GM Renaud Tinel. “Give the gift of barista style coffee with the ease, convenience and indulgent taste of a Nespresso coffee machine.”
Between 24 November 2010 and 5 January 2011, Nespresso will be offering $75 cashback on its Lattissima range of machines. There will also be $50 cashback on its Citz, Le Cube and Essenza models. Current.com.au understands that Nespresso’s Christmas cashback campaigns have been amongst the most successful initiatives in the wider small appliance industry.
This is a very busy time for Nespresso Australia, with the local arm of the world’s biggest foodstuff company recently opening its new ‘Embassy’ in Melbourne and in the final stages of planning for the launch of its centrepiece shopfront in Pitt Street Mall in Sydney. This new Embassy will be opened with a gala launch on 16 November 2010.
