JB Hi-Fi targeting Victoria and NSW in store expansion

MELBOURNE, VIC: JB Hi-Fi has revealed the locations of 15 new stores that are expected be opened by the end of FY2011. The stores are spread throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Victoria is the most targeted state in JB’s current expansion plans, with seven new stores planned. These will be based in Sunshine, Forrest Hill, Chadstone (Warrigal Road), Greensborough, Mildura, Airport West and Bayside Frankston.

There are four new stores planned for New South Wales. These will be in North Sydney, Charlestown, Merrylands and the soon-to-be-opened Westfield Sydney complex.

Western Australia has stores in Bunbury and Booragoon planned, whilst Sylvia Park and Dunedin in New Zealand are also set for the JB treatment.

Already in FY11, JB has opened new stores in Bayfair (NZ), Cairns (QLD) and Mandurah (WA).
