SYDNEY, NSW: Cuisinart, who recently teamed up with superstar chef Matt Moran, has announced its sponsorship of Iron Chef Australia, the original Japanese precursor to the phenomenally popular MasterChef.

The stylised cook-off will premiere at 7.30pm 19 October on Channel Seven with confirmed chefs including Neil Perry, Guy Grossi and Guillaume Brahimi. Cuisinart’s small appliance range will also be showcased by former Masterchef contestants Chris Badenoch and partner Julia Jenkins.

“Australian programs like this are a rarity and we are thrilled to be part of this phenomenon again. Using intense reality shows such as MasterChef and Iron Chef enable consumers the opportunity to see our products used in extraordinary situations that test their quality and endurance. No brand advertisement has the ability to do so," said Meredith Fraser, Sheldon and Hammond Marketing and Communications manager, who distributes Cuisinart in Australia.

Panasonic was featured 15 times in one episode of MasterChef Australia in May, as reported  by Current.com.au.
