SYDNEY, NSW: The new eco-friendly Samsung Bubble Wash front load washing machine that was showcased at IFA in September has made its way across the ocean and today been released in Australia.

The Bubble Wash technology mixes detergent and water with air at the beginning of the cycle to create foam that dissolves deep into clothing up to 40 times faster than convenient machines, as reported by Current.com.au from Berlin last month. Samsung claims that the machine delivers a similar wash using cold water to warm water thus consuming up to 60 per cent less energy.

“The introduction of our new Samsung Bubble Wash technology provides us with a genuine point of difference in a competitive laundry market,” said Mike Lilly, group senior product manager for white goods, Samsung Electronics Australia.

“The unique technology in this range of washing machines offers a smart investment for consumers by not only protecting their investment in clothes from potential damage, but by also saving them money through being able to achieve similar results by washing clothing in a cold wash as compared to a warm wash.”

To support sales Samsung has a 30 day money back guarantee from date of purchase, where the cost of the machine will be refunded and Samsung will organise to have it removed from the consumer’s house if they are not happy. The promotion is valid from 1 October 2010 to 31 December 2010.

New features include a 20 per cent larger door for added convenience, a 15-minute quick wash, a ceramic enamel anti-limescale heater, a full water safety system which automatically cuts off the water supply and switches the washing machine off in case a leak occurs and a 10 year warranty (2 years on motor parts and labour and 8 years on motor parts).

The Samsung Bubble Wash washing machine is available now for RRP $1,199 (7.5KG variant – WF0754W7V) and RRP $1,599 (8.5KG variant – WF0854W8E).
