SYDNEY, NSW: The Beurer precision scale showcased at IFA in Berlin in September is being shipped into retail stores this week.

There has been significant demand for a scale with this level of precision for the measurement of herbs, spices, powders and jewellery, according to Beurer’s Sydney-based distributor, Maria Russo of FitZone Solutions.

The KS36 Precision Kitchen Scale has been touted by Russo as a “favourite”, and more suited to the electrical retailing channel rather than through pharmaceutical outlets.

“There is our favourite [precision scale], which has been in exceptional demand, that measures down to 0.1-gram – an absolute precision scale for herbs, spices and jewellery,” said Russo to Current.com.au at IFA.

The KS36 comes with a 200-gram stamped calibration weight so that the scale can be recalibrated and not influenced by ambient room conditions such as temperature and humidity.

Other features include a slim design, a digital calibration function, an LED display and 2-kilogram capacity.

The K36 Precision Kitchen Scale is RRP $69.
