SYDNEY, NSW: The classic stainless steel kitchen will experience an aesthetic twist as Breville introduces 22 colour options for the BEM800 Scraper Mixer Pro, available to order exclusively instore.

The rainbow selection will give consumers a chance to add a novel and individual variation to their kitchen appliance range.

Bench mixers experienced a 16 per cent growth in units from 2009 to 2010, according to GfK figures, and Dave Gubbin, Breville brand director Australasia said he expects the growth to continue.

“As the mixing category continues to grow in popularity, consumers are demanding innovation and choice and we’ve taken that into account with the customisable Scraper Mixer Pro,” said Gubbin.

“We expect retailers to not only benefit from being able to offer individual options to shoppers; the exclusive in-store ordering and pick up process should also see savvy retailers translate traffic into additional sales across other categories.”

Starting in October, consumers will be able to make their colour selection from a swatch book to be presented next to a BEM800 sample. The mixer is then custom finished and ready to be picked up approximately two weeks later.

The mixer will retail at RRP$599.
