MELBOURNE, VIC: A former Harvey Norman franchisee has been appointed the new national sales manager of Convoy International. Gary Tye is the new head of sales at Convoy, which currently distributes Monster Cable, Bowers & Wilkins and Harmon Kardon, amongst other brands.
In addition to being a former retailer, Tye has also worked for Convoy formerly, having previously looked after accounts in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia as an area manager. Further experience includes a stint at Kawasaki Robots as a business development manager.
Discussing this appointment is Convoy International CEO Geoff Matthews.
"Gary has an enviable and successful track record within the consumer electronic and audio industry," said Matthews. "Gary’s function within Convoy will ensure our sales team continues to meet our own very high standards of delivering world class customer support and sales training: hallmarks of Convoy’s 45 years in the business."
