BERLIN, GERMANY: Electrolux is about to release a simple induction trivet globally which was designed in Sydney and has the potential to “revolutionise induction cooking”.

The E:motion Trivet is a chrome plated aluminium trivet which allows a wok to sit on a flat induction cooktop. The unique design which heats the wok but not the trivet was developed at the company’s Sydney head office in Mascot and has been described as “jewellery for the kitchen”.

According to Electrolux Home Products food preparation category manager, Troy Hinchco, the trivet and the accompanying 34cm wok will be available for $319 in October as an accessory with Electrolux Maxisense induction cooktops.
