BERLIN, GERMANY: The Samsung Eco Bubble front load washing machine which has been designed to reduce energy consumption by pre-mixing the detergent at the beginning of the cycle will be released to the Australian market within the next few weeks.

Samsung claims the Eco Bubble consumes 30 per cent less energy than the European 'A-rated' washing machines as 15ºC cold water is used to mix into the detergent before the cycle starts. Available in 7 kilograms and 8 kilograms, Eco Bubble features a direct drive motor system backed by a 10-year warranty.

The key to the product is the bubble generator which begins dissolving detergent into the water and then injects air, creating a soapy foam that is transferred to the drum immediately once the cycle starts. This foam dissolves into the wash water, distributing evenly into fabrics and penetrates deeper into clothes up to 40 times faster than conventional washers, the company claims.

Samsung says the Eco Bubble washing process is ideal for delicate fabrics like silk or wool with less damage than traditional washers, since the fine bubbles act as a cushion.
